Taiko Map

This page lists Taiko groups and schools all over the globe. Please note that this list is a work-in-progress and that a lot of groups are missing. If you would like to add your own group or school, please send us an email with your contact information. The more info you provide, the better – see the group entries below for examples.

    • Hi, thank you very much for posting the link, I appreciate it 🙂 I am already working with that list, but it will be a little while until I have finished adding all groups. Are there any groups you would like to have added first?

  4. Hello!
Cairns Taiko is a not-for-profit club, established in 2011. Cairns is our hometown, in far north Queensland, Australia. 日本語での連絡も大歓迎!
    Our website is http://www.cairnstaiko.com
Find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/CairnsTaiko/

We usually rehearse 5:30-7:00pm, Tuesday & Friday inside the Cairns Showgrounds. Visitors and new members are always welcome. (Contact us beforehand, just in case we’re at a gig or training elsewhere.)

We aim to share our love of taiko, and to promote cross-cultural understanding, community spirit, health and fitness, coordination, teamwork and the joy of music, through our performances, rehearsals, and workshops. All our members are volunteers, and all monies raised from performances go directly toward the purchase, maintenance, storage and transportation of our drums, gongs, other instruments, stage costumes and equipment.

We’ve listed as many other Australian teams as we could find on our Links page… some are not listed on the wadaikotoshokan list yet.
